"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America’s Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn’t want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named ‘Bush’, ‘Dick’, and ‘Colon’."

And Suddenly It's All Gone

Mood - tired
Today's Song - Franz Ferdinand - No You Girl

Seriously, I apparently shouldn't be thinking doing these posts when I'm half asleep. I just fail on trying to write a good title when that happens.

In any case, today's blurb is relatively quick. I'm sure most of you know what "The Game" is. Oh, and ha ha... I just made you lose it (it's ok, I lost too). But in any case, I did actually lose the game like right before I posted. The reason I lost the game you say? Here goes:

First off, I woke up yesterday to realizing I had post - nasal drip. It sucks hard core when that happens and for me, it gives me some sore throat something fierce. The entire day I spent pretty much blowing my nose and hacking up phlegm (I know, disturbing). The point is, I took some NyQuil a couple of hours before posting this to help deal with the nasal fluids 'o' doom. I then, while rummaging around the internet, thought about how because I took some NyQuil and started watching Conan O'Brien to help me get to sleep one night that NyQuil will forever remind me about Conan O'Brien. So here I was, thinking about NyQuil and then about Conan O'Brien. Well, unfortunately for me (and several others I know) when you start thinking about thoughts leading to another, for some reason we think about "The Game" inevitably. So in short, we go from one thought to the next until we lose the game. It sucks. Well, I need to turn this quest in on WoW and go to bed with my runny nose of suck. Later all!

"No, you girls never know...
Oh no! you girls will never know...
No, you girls never know...
...wow you make a boy feel!
You girls never know...
Oh no! you girls'll never know...
No, you girls never know...
How you make a boy feel!
How you make a boy feel!
How you make a boy...

Sometimes I say stupid things
that I think weell, I mean I...
Sometimes I think the stupidest things.
Because I never wonder...
oh, how the girl feels.
Oh, how the girl feels.

No, you boys never care...
Oh no! You boys will never care...
No, you boys never care...
...how the girl feels!
You boys never care...
You dirty boys will never care...
No, you boys never care...
...how the girl feels!
Oh, how the girl feels!
Oh, how the girl feels!"

"Judy Came From Ohio; She's A Scientologist!"

Mood - a little of everything right now
Today's Song - The Nails - 88 Lines About 44 Women

I'm kind of in one of those moods where I kind of feel content but kind of feel like something could be better and yet all at the same time I feel like something's missing. It's a weird mix of emotions and I honestly think I need to get some sleep. Maybe I'll take a nap?

Anywho, the biggest thing I have to talk about right now is that I'm planning to take a trip to Texas to visit my friend, Peter, in the summer. I'm hoping that I get to go because first off, I haven't seen Peter in about a year or more now. Also, it's always been Peter coming up here to Sacramento (and I will be anal about the fact that when you travel North, it's COMING UP TO not COME DOWN) so I figured I should switch it up. Besides, I've actually heard from my parents that it's actually really nice out in Texas during the summer. You'd think it'd be hot as hell (in Philadelphia) in Texas during the summer but apparently it's good. Go figure.

Either way, I really want to get out there. It'll give me a chance to see a different state and all that kind of jazz. Although funny enough, if I do go to Texas I'll actually end up spending little time in comparison to how long I'd be there with Peter. The man's got a job and it's with Sony working on the DC Comics MMORPG at that so I understand that during the weekdays he'll be busy at work. But hey, it's getting to go out to see him that matters to me. Besides, I was going to try and stay there a little bit longer than like five days or something just so we do have time to hang. And when he's at work, I'll probably end up bringing books to read or play WoW (huh, funny I go to Texas and might end up still playing WoW with guildmates back in Sacramento... lol).

"Zilla was an archetype;
the voodoo queen, the queen of wrath.
Joan thought men were second best
to masturbating in a bath.
Sherry was a feminist;
she really had that gift of gab.
Kathleen's point of view was this:
take whatever you can grab.

Seattle was another girl
who left her mark upon the map.
Karen liked to tie me up
and left me hanging by a strap.
Jeannie had a nightclub walk
that made grown men feel underage.
Mariella, who had a son,
said "I must go!" but finally stayed.

Gloria, the last taboo,
was shattered by her tongue one night.
Mimi brought the taboo back
and held it up before the light.
Marilyn, who knew no shame,
was never, ever satisfied.
Julie came and went so fast,
she didn't even say goodbye."

Title Missing Due To Author's Brain Not Cooperating

Mood - nostalgic
Today's Song - Smash Mouth - Why Can't We Be Friends?

Ah yes, the magic of being able to prove your parents wrong... it lives within all people... including our parents! :P

Seriously though, hopefully none of us are this bad:

"Sometimes I don't... speak... right;
but did I know what I was talking about?
I know you're working for the C.I.A.
They wouldn't have you in the mafia!

Why can't we be friends?!
Why can't we be friends?!
Why can't we be friends?!
Why can't we be friends?!"

Hi, I'm Daisy!

Mood - amused (and itchy... even though that's not an emotion)
Today's Song - The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive

Today, I give you the sequel (what I consider as anyway) to the Daisy/Batman comic I posted years ago (and that still can be found here on the front page):

Property of David Willis, used for the sole idea that it would entertain readers, not to steal his work.

EDIT (15 hours, 24 minutes later): I just realized something... which is more creepy about this comic? The fact that the Shy Guys want to bisect Daisy's skull and use it as shoes or the fact that Luigi wants to have all of a girl's belongings?

"Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man; no time to talk.
The music loud and women warm;
I've been kicked around since I was born.

And now its all right... it's ok...
You may look the other way.
We can try to understand
the New York times effect on man."

Computer Troubles

Mood - tired, perturbed, but hoping for better
Today's Song - Gorillaz - New Genius (Brother)

So what do I actually by computer troubles considering I don't have one of my own. It means that trying to find one that's 4:3 aspect ratio (the ratio I'm comfortable with), with adequate specs (including a respectable video card), and with Windows XP ('cause Vista can suck it in my opinion) has been absolutely ridiculous. No one seems to realize that two of three of these wants are completely valid and should be brought together always. It seems not a single freaking store I can go to physically has non - widescreen laptops. Is it just me or is this stupid? Look, while pretty for video games, HTML hasn't caught up just yet with widescreen format. Some websites have it centered with lots of blank space on either side and other sites (such as my blog) will take two sections (the sidebar and the blog posts) that should set next to each other and take them apart, which ends up making for a nice, disgusting green space filling in between the two parts. Grr factor...

Also, it would be nice to have some decent specs. But adding in that I hate Windows XP with a passion (which of course will have to change sooner or later but I'll hold out for now) makes for a pain. I have to look online and even then, it's hard. By the way, the two preferences that I considered valid (in case you were wondering) were the specs and the aspect ratio. In the whole process though, I've learned quite a bit about aspect ratios and can rattle off quite a few with their pixel size and official name (such as XGA being 1024 by 768, NTSC being 720 by 480, and WXGA being 1280 by 800). In any case, it's been quite a pain to get anything I want to buy right now.

It goes the same for trying to find a new car for about $1,000 or less. While that is asking for a lot, I have found a few deals here and there. It just seems that either the sellers are trying to sell cars with shady pasts (ask me later), the cars already sold before I can get there, or they're going to be available Tuesday. I hope I can get a good deal on that Camry on Tuesday though... it would be mighty helpful.

And if that weren't enough, there's yet one more item I can't seem to find anywhere in Sacramento... A FLIPPING HACKY SACK!!! I've checked everywhere from retail stores (Target and the like), sports stores, skate shops, Walgreens and the like, etc. I really want to know where the people who play at Sac City got there hacky sacks 'cause I can't find anything for the life of me. And I know they've got to have them somewhere because these people at Sac City I just mentioned have brought some very new hacky sacks to school to play with. I is very confused.

All in all, it's been very annoying that I can't find anything anywhere practically. Oh well, that's life right?

"Yeah! Dream on my world; I live on my world.
Going off my head down to somewhere.
I'm going on a dance hall tune.

In a pressure today, I blew a bad man away today.
Higher ground had to be told;
I blew a man away.

Brother... sister too:
do what you must do.
Don't trust people you meet.
Yeah, they might promise you that the river ain't deep"

The Top 10

Mood - relatively happy, with a pinch of not sure where I stand
Today's Song - Barenaked Ladies - Pinch Me

It's been an odd sort of day, I have to say. Mainly though, I am rather happy with today's proceedings. I do have a question though; why does it seem to be that Dr. Pepper and my car don't like each other? I swear, every time I have a Dr. Pepper when I'm driving, it loves to just explode all over me. I hate it in the face.

Anywho, let's get onto the whole reason I even titled this post and posted today in the first place. Over the weekend, I really got into listening to the Mortal Kombat movie soundtrack. As such, I decided to come up with my top 10 movie soundtracks. I really don't have much to say about all of them and in reality, I just actually kind of like them all on the same level. So the fact that it's a top 10 has little to do with my preferences on them all. And at that, I don't like every song on these CDs. Anyway, without further ado... my list:

1 - Mortal Kombat (for duh, 'tis the reason this list got made, :P )
2 - Ocean's Twelve
3 - The Matrix Reloaded
4 - The Matrix
5 - Space Jam (the first CD I ever owned!)
6 -
7 -
8 -
9 -
10 -

...and then I realized something, this wasn't the greatest of ideas. Not only have I barely ever owned a movie soundtrack, but I can't even think of OSTs I haven't owned but heard and liked a lot. So it turns out this list is not only short but can't be trusted since I haven't been exposed to a lot. Oh well, at least I tried right?

"On an evening such as this... it's hard to tell if I exist.
Pack the car and leave this town; who'll notice that I'm not around?
I could hide out under there. I just made you say underwear!
I could leave but I'll just stay; all my stuff's here anyway!

It's like a dream you try to remember but it's gone. Then 'ya...
try to scream, but it only comes out as a yawn. When 'ya...
try to see the world beyond your front door."
