"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America’s Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn’t want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named ‘Bush’, ‘Dick’, and ‘Colon’."

It Was Glenful
Mood - huh?
Today's Song - many DDR songs running through my head
Seriously, last week was very much a Glen week. I was at his house for two days time wise (went there in the afternoon Sunday, left Tuesday night), I called him for a couple of things on both Wednesday and Thursday, and on Friday we hung out for a bit in the morning. I figure he needs a break from me...
Sorry for no posts but once again, nothing ever comes to mind. I just don't have much to say except I need to send out my resume so I can get a better job. Unfortunately, later today (considering it's 3AM) my parents are going to San Francisco for Memorial Day. I don't really feel like joining them so I'll be home all day (unless I can get somewhere). So this means one more day of no resume getting out.
Lately, anime has been just piling itself onto me. And by that, I mean that I've been watching (and reading) it more. On Friday I got more manga (from two series that I have been collecting) plus I watched a lot more of the series I'm on at Glen's house. It's become another part of my nerdiness. BTW Glen, I really need you to help me with Megatokyo because the last several comics have had untranslated Japanese and it's confused the hell out of me. Well, I really should go to sleep so later!
PS - I saw Episode III again on Saturday. I rule!!!

A Mixture of Emotions
Mood - Happy, Sad, Happy, Sad, Happy...
Today's Song - Unknown Artist - Over The Rainbow
I've got several things going through my head. First off, I was able to switch the time of my tickets for Star Wars: Episode III so I'm happy about that. Secondly, someone just stole one of my friends' stuff so I'm none to happy about that. And I'm really friggin' warm right now. I don't understand where the hell all this heat is coming from. I mean, come on... a racing game (Initial D, which is where the song for today comes from) should not make you hot. It does not require much body movement. Is it just the heat of the machines working? I don't know.
Yesterday I grabbed the first DVD volume of the cartoon show Invader Zim. My brother and I started watching it last night and I'm happy with my purchase. I'm a little upset that they don't have English captions (wtf?!??!) but overall good stuff. I didn't realize that I had seen most of these before; it was weird to be like, "Huh! I know I've seen these, I just never realized that they were all in this order." Good stuff. Strangely enough though, it has Irken subtitles; in other words, it has subtitles for the alien language of the Irkians (Zim's species) but not English... I R confuzzled. Oh well, it's still good stuff.
"I'm gonna tell you now, I wanna show you how.
You can't imagine power like
you're making me hot with your desire.
Show me the passion you got inside
until the storm has gone.
Stickin' around me, open your eyes.
I'll show you baby!
Over the rainbow!
Fellin' alright.
I was lookin' for love.
In time for catchin' you baby.
Over the rainbow!
Over the stars!
I can finally love
and as I walk...
Into the rainbow!"

ex·haus·tion (n) - the act or instance of being drained of resources or properties
Mood - tired
Today's Song - Sugar Ray - Sorry Now
Seriously, I don't know where this came from but I am just tired today. I sucked at DDR (could hardly play a simple nonstop course) and I even took an hour nap. I have no clue what would cause this? I've been over the head cold I had last weekend so I don't think it's that or anything. And I got enough sleep; hell, TV sucked last night so I went to bed earlier than usual. I've just been unusually unenergetic.
Yesterday was Mother's Day and my family went out with the Robertsons (my cousin's family) and my grandmother to Applebee's. Wow, I suddenly had a brain fart there... can't connect my thoughts well enough. See?! I'm tired! Let's start at the beginning of yesterday and go from there.
I went to church; that was, uh... fun? I went home but because my mom wanted to be alone with her friends yesterday afternoon, my dad, my brother, and I all went out and we saw The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (I saw it for the second time). It was pretty good still... why wouldn't it be?
Then we went to Applebee's. Ok, there we go. Anywho, at the restaurant I started sharing some lines from my Robin Williams comedy CD and got some laughs out of Renee and Nathan (my cousins). In fact, the waiter recognized one of the lines and asked, "Robin Williams?" It was kind of funny.
Today as I was checking some stuff on my new MySpace account, I happened to check the friends of a guy from high school who had found me on MySpace (yeah, that quick) and found a friend of mine from my animation classes that I was trying to get into contact with again. I'm very happy about that. This guy was hella cool and funny to boot.
Well, I sleep now. Or at least I wish I could... I'll probably do that on the lightrail. Later!
EDIT (4:20 PM) - I don't know if you guys knew this but I signed up with myspace.com. I'm going to use that to share crap like comics and stuff from now on.
"We'll never know, never know if all we had wasn't true (with me and you).
Never really knew if right now was much too soon. (It was much too soon.)
Why can't you call and say you miss me?
The time we wasted just becomes history.
Why can't you call and say you need me?
The words you wanna hear deceive me?
Who's sorry now?
Who's sorry now?
Who's sorry...
I know you're right,
you're always right;
so turn out the light!
Who's sorry now?"

...and now we know!
Mood - entertained
Today's Song - Professor Lebidinskiy - Siniy Siniy Iney

And sorry to say it (well not really, you guys will be though), I've gained another comic.
On a different note, today my parents (in fact, probably right at this very moment) are picking up the new vehicle. I know I told Glen but we're getting a Toyota 4Runner. Yes, it's an SUV (which I'm sort of not happy about them getting) but I guess it's their choice whether they want to spend that much on gas. At least I'll have more room when travelling with my family.
The lyrics are in Russian so I have no freaking idea but would love to.

Feeling Under The Weather
Mood - stuffy nose
Today's Song - Trocadero - No One
Man, I woke up yesterday and my nose began it's attack on me. It drove me nuts all yesterday (plus a soar throat which is gone today, thank God) and it's being pissy with me again today. I swear, what the hell happened? I hardly ever get sick. But I guess at some point, I'm bound to actually catch something. I'm just so damned used to not getting sick that this took me by surprise.
Well, it's a new month with new possibilities... yeah, bullshit. I see nothing else happening interesting in my life until June (when I go to my cousin's wedding in Las Vegas). Oh yeah, Glen's the only one who knows that. Yeah, I'm going to Vegas for my cousin Michele's wedding. I'll be leaving the 13th and coming back the 18th; I reserved my tickets via online on Saturday. Fun stuff.
I have nothing else I can think of to say. So I'll leave you with this week's quote.
"Where is the one who will mourn me when I'm...
gone? Who will pour water on my bed of...
dirt? Who will breathe fire on my neck at night?
I heard someone say there's a chance that I would meet her.
I could be persephone and she demeter;
to pull me from the underground that I call home.
Her name is no one, no one, no one.
She blinds me with her eyes 'cause she's the one, the one.
She lives somewhere, not here, not here, not here."
