"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America’s Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn’t want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named ‘Bush’, ‘Dick’, and ‘Colon’."

EDIT: (at the time you see at the bottom of this post)

Mood - ok... I think

First off, I no longer have a DDR tournament to go to. It got postponed to the 8th, I have this Friday off so I don't want to ask for another day off, and I didn't really have a routine ready. So I'll just be hanging with Peter on his birthday.

Secondly, I was wrong Glen... episode 53 of RvB went up while we weren't looking. So yeah, I was wrong.

And finally, Peter you remember that I was saying there was something about your blog that Glen had mentioned to me? It was your title. Funny stuff.

A'ight, Josh out.

Easter Vac... Oh, It's Done.

Mood - semi - weird, uh - oh, I feel weird... stuff... WTF?!
Today's Song - Cake - Love You Madly

So Easter vacation has come and gone. This has been the very first Easter I didn't spend with family. I was over at Glen's yesterday, half of the time in a very depressed mood. That's what I get for thinking about the non - existent future I have. Yea!

I have a DDR competition coming up this Friday... and it's also Peter's birthday. So it's going to be a busy day. I really wish I could get him something but money = nothing for me right now. I'll just have to wish him happy b - day and hang out.

I've been watching Ranma 1/2 hecka much lately and it sucks that I can't go get the fourth season with my check this Friday. I already owe my parents rent and then there's this anime convention that Glen's invited me to that I'd like to attend. The problem is $50 dollars is due this Thursday... IN CHECK FORM! So not only do I have no money to give him to pay, it can't be in the simplest form that I know how to do things. Hell, I don't use checks for my checking account. Hopefully though, I can reimburse someone on Friday. I really would like to go. It's kind of funny though, 'cause I've thought heavily about wanting to cosplay as Ranma for a long time now but haven't really had a reason for it (except last Halloween).

This MP3 CD is strange as hell; it'll play a song and then two songs later the same damned song will come up. This doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it confuses the hell out of me. Oh well, talk to y'all later!

"I don't want to fake it, I just want to make it.
The ornaments look pretty but they're pulling down the branches of the tree.
I don't want to think about it, I don't want to talk about it.
When I kiss your lips, I want to sink down to the bottom of the sea.

I want to love you madly.
I want to love you now .
I want to love you madly.
I want to love you, love you, love you madly."

Power Outage

Mood - tweaked
Today's Song - Cake - Shadow Stabbin'

Or blackout or whatever... it happened. Right here on Sac State's campus we had a CAMPUS WIDE blackout. Fun! Not... luckily though I wasn't working on anything incredibly important on the computer at the time. The computer lab I was in didn't have any emergency lights so we were in the dark. Everyone was like, "Get out your cel - phones!" Kinda funny. But I hadn't expected to find that the blackout had affected the entire school. That's scary. I wonder if anyone outside of the school was affected. Anywho...

While we were waiting for the power to come back on (I went over to the University Union because the computers weren't working anywhere), someone in the group brought up the game Killer Instinct. Man, that game was strange. Not only did it have apparently weak moves and specials, the characters were weird. As far as I can tell, it was an attempt to try and cash in on Street Fighter's and Mortal Kombat's success. It was just out of the blue, BOOM! Fighting game. And not that great from what I remember.

Today is St. Patrick's day and I've got on my "Pinch This" t - shirt (which is green of course). This is like the one day I say zillions of green around campus. It's a kick - ass color so I don't understand why I don't see it around until this day. I see more reds and blues than anything else all year round. Red's not all that great and blue is overrated. Oh well, I'm just spouting off opinions here and it's not like anyone cares...

...hello? You're supposed to tell me I'm wrong and be a supportive friend! Yeah! Well, screw you man! Screw you! *runs off crying*

"I'm so nervous, I'm so tense.
My heart can't forget about this self defense.
The air is so hot and my breath comes fast.
I thumb the cool blade but I know this can't last.
I thumb the cool blade but I know this can't last...

Outside... outside the world,
out there you don't hear the echos and calls.
But the steel eye, tight jaw
say it all. Say it all.
But the white paint, plastic saints
say it all, say it all, say it all.

Say it all, say it all,
Say it all, say it all,
Say it all, say it...
Somebody has got to say it all.
Somebody has got to say it all."

"Please step away from the chalupa!"

Mood - entertained
Today's Song - Smash Mouth - The Fonz

A couple of things have happened today and they've put me in a good mood. First off, this morning (WHICH WAS STILL TODAY!) at 4AM I was talking to Peter online. We had a good talk, something which hasn't really happened between him and me in the two or three years (can't remember which) I've really known him. I say really because technically, I met him over chat programs in ninth grade. But that's not really a good measure of a person.

Well, you're probably wondering why I titled today as such? It's something I remember hearing for a Taco Bell commercial once but that's not important. It's the fact that it comes from the police. And thus, the other strange thing that happened to me today. I was walking to the Meadowview lightrail when this police car pulled up next to me and they asked to see my ID. Apparently, they were doing a tardy sweep for high school students and wuddayaknow? I look young enough to be in high school still so they stopped me to check. It may seem scary to some people but I found it entertaining.

Finally, I just went a printed up this image project I've been working on in my spare time. It's a photo mosaic and it kicks ass. In case you're wondering, a photo mosaic is one of those things where one big picture is made up of thousands of little pictures. For example:

The Twin Towers...

So what did I make mine of? You'll just have to see it in person! :P Or if you're Glen, you should probably already know... 'cause I told you... yeah...

...ummmm, kumquat?

"The definition of icy, the measure of what's up.
You could play the tuba and everyone would clap.
Well, I can play the tuba and they all just shake their heads...

'Cause you're the Fonz. (You're the Fonz!)
'Cause you're the Fonz. (You're the Fonz!)
'Cause you're the Fonz. (You're the Fonz!)
Because you are the Fonz!"

Anime

Mood - happy
Today's Song - Hangnail Rap from Family Guy

Yeah, I know Peter. You don't care. Just wanted to say that I got some more and I am happy. BTW Glen, I forgot to mention that the Ranma manga reads like an English book not Japanese. It's strange.

Well, in other news I... you know what, there is nothing else. I've come back to the part of blogging where it sits forever because I have nothing to say. It sucks that way but sometimes it happens. I got Pocky (which is like a cookie stick with some sort of flavor coating) and that's good. Oh and just so you aren't tweaked by what I said Peter (just in case you are), Pocky is the name for a traditional Japanese snack; Glen just uses it as an alias which is cool.

Just thought about how you tend to call me every time I make incredible grammar mistakes Glen. And looked at the top of this thing; yes, there is a spell check here. Though I doubt it checks grammar... let's try, shall we?

Example bad sentence: I to know what you're talking about. *checks*

Nope, it sucks. Oh well, that means I have to endure phone calls indefinitely. It's ok, they tend to lead into funny stuff anyhow.

"I said a hangnail! (Hangnail!)
Hanging from my cuticle!
I said a hangnail! (Hangnail!)
It ain't beautiful!"

Deja Vu

Mood - weirded out
Today's Song - Smash Mouth - Sister Psychic

I say deja vu because one, I have been smelling that smell of newly blossoming trees (what I termed "the smell of evil") and two, my cat (Jonah) got outside again. Almost a year ago, the exact same things were happening (technically though, Jonah was missing at that point in time). Go here to see exactly how close it was to this day in history.

Well, I've bee meaning to say this for two days. Who here remembers the Sacramento Kings bobble - head craze? If not, well, Carl's Jr. has twice now done a selling of Sac Kings bobble - heads. And we're doing it again...

Now here's what's funny; we're actually selling a Chris Webber bobble - head this time. Apparently in the past we couldn't because of a some kind of contractual thing with Webber and some other company. Now that's off, I guess, and we can sell it. I find that highly ironic, since now Chris is leaving the Kings. Way to go guys! And here's the line - up (in order of when they'll come out) of bobble heads for this round of madness:

Brad Miller
Darius Songaila
Matt Barnes
Greg Ostertag
Chris Webber

That just adds insult to injury, in my opinion. One guy I know (Miller), one I barely know (Songaila), two I don't, and one that's leaving. Great job on the bobble - heads!

The other thing I wanted to talk about happened (technically, yesterday) today at work. A guy came through drive - thru that I swear looked like a black version of the Godfather. My shift leader even said the guy sounded like the Godfather (the raspiness and all). It was highly entertaining... to me... YES, I'M AWESOME!

I happened to need to go to the actual Smash Mouth site to grab the lyrics for today's song. And I found this pic of the group in the sudio for their 5th CD release:

The band in recording (Dude, the basist’s got dreads!)

I'm very much looking forward to this CD... and I think you guys might to after reading this excerpt from their site:

The new tunes are fast and rockin' with an aggressive sound that harkens back to Smash Mouth's multi - platinum "Fush Yu Mang".

I'm looking forward to it no matter what, 'cause they're one of my top four bands. Hi - ya!

"Sister, why would I tell you my deepest, dark secrets?
So you could take my diary and rip it all to pieces.
Just $6.95 for the very fist minute;
I think you've won the lottery.
That's my prediction. Come on!

You know everything.

Sister psychic won't you tell me does it ever get better?
Can you really see the future or just predict the weather?
Are we in our finest hour or headed for disaster?
Use your super powers and rescue me.
Sister Psychic won't you tell me does it ever get better?
Can you really see the future or just predict the weather?
Are we in our finest hour or headed for disaster?
Use your super powers and rescue me."

Red Vs. Blue, Episode 50

Mood - happy
Today's Song - Barenaked Ladies - Shoebox

Well, the forums are flooded with idiots making dumb threads about today is Episode 50 day and let's write about throwing beads at women show they show us their breasts. Such a sad existence is the computer dweeb. Fortunately, there are just as many sane people writing intelligent threads and some who just came to download the episode now that it's available to the public. 766 members online at one time; holy shit dog!

It's kind of funny though how today's song of the day is BNL. Because guess what? ED ROBERTSON DID THE VOICE FOR CAPTAIN BUTCH FLOWERS ON EPISODE 50! He even says so himself here. Though to me it didn't sound like Ed, it's obviously true so kudos to them both (Rooster Teeth Productions and BNL). I like and I R H4PPY...

...and Glen is not.

"It's under my bed, it's never been read,
it's in with my school stuff and my mom never cleans there.
From my first little fib, when I still wore a bib,
to my latest attempt at pretending I'm someone
who's not seventeen and doesn't know what you mean.
When talk turns to single malts or stilton or...

...my shoe box! (Shoebox!)
Shoe box of lies!
Shoe box! (Shoebox!)
Shoe box of lies!"
