"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America’s Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn’t want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named ‘Bush’, ‘Dick’, and ‘Colon’."

"Who are you?" "I'm David Hasselhoff!" "Hurray!"

Mood - happy
Today's Song - Barenaked Ladies - Off The Hook

I had a holiday weekend chock full of movies. I saw a butt load of them (ew!). Anywho, I thought I'd share... again... just like last Monday... which was my last post... shut - up.

Spongebob Squarepants the Movie - 7 out of 10 (I originally was saying 8 but checked the last time I did this and it doesn't compare with the movies I voted 8 last time. However, very funny movie that I enjoyed despite the fact that it's supposed to be for kids. I like cartoons and that's that.)

Elf - 7 out of 10 (It was a good movie, very enjoyable. However, it was kind of boring at times; I found myself laughing very little throughout the entire thing.)

The Bourne Identity - 9 out of 10 (O... M... G... gooooood movie. I never got to see it when it came out and I had wanted to. Yesterday I made time to watch it and I'm glad I did. It's another movie along the lines of The Usual Suspects where there's something that twists at the end. Good times, good times.)

Strangely enough, now that I've seen both of Ben Afleck and Matt Damon's "I'm being chased by someone who wants me dead" movies, it's kind of sad to see one do extremely better than the other. They're supposed to be great friends, right? Anywho...

Other than movies, I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing lately. I won't bore you with details (Yeah, I went here and did some stuff), I'll just say that I'm having fun. Well, I believe I've got two weeks left of school then finals week. This semester came and went like nobody's business. I can't really think of much else to say, I just really love that line from the Spongebob movie... you know, the one that's the title of this post... up above there... right there... no, no, down more... shut - up.

"All around the room your things are placed
and next to you he fills the space.
And so it seems your saving grace is only saving face.
The pictures of the two of you on holiday, on honeymoon;
you thought that he was wanting you, but he was only wanting you to
let him off the hook.

He was your imaginary friend, you were partners til the end.
Then something bends, and then it breaks.
Your worst mistake accepting enemies on bended knees; a litany of tragedies.
You're vexed, it seems you're hexed and after sex he expects
you'll let him off the hook 'til...

Something that you heard while you were sleeping left you
shaken while he stirred. When you awaken you will
make him eat his words right off the...
Hook and line, every time."

Stuff This

Mood - good mood
Today's Song - Wildside - Irrésistiblement

That's what my new shirt reads, Stuff This. It's a compliment to the St. Patrick's shirt I already have that says Pinch This. And now I have one for Christmas so good for me, I got a bowl.

Anywho, this weekend was chock full of things that were said and just cracked me up, so I thought I'd share:

First off, the quote of the week came from a project I'm doing. Project aside, one of the people involved gave me that for their quote at the bottom of their part of the project. So yeah, wow.

Next comes from my dad. We were playing a game called Cranium where you get to do a lot of different things in order to move along the board. One of the things is you have to spell words without writing it down. Well the word was algorithm. And what does my dad say? He goes, "You know, it's when Al Gore dances." Al Gore Rhythm. My dad so belongs with Glen's dad and uncle.

Also yesterday, my brother and I were playing Halo (we may have broken the curse, Peter) and when my brother and I start playing games together, we get incredibly silly and strange. So my brother said two things that were great. The first one was a play off of something I said. I somehow got onto the subject of the word macking (as in I'm macking on your girlfriend) and so I said, "Yeah, I'm mackin'!" Then Andrew (my brother) goes, "Yeah, and I'm tosh!" Dear lord, why the puns? Anywho, the other thing he said was more on the crazy, random, WTF?! mate side of comedy. For some reason, he said, "That was like a loose chimpanzee that's morman." Ok then, WTF?!

Finally, today something in my French class said something that was hilarious. We were studying how to compare things to each other and a group had chosen to compare George W. Bush and John Kerry. Well when I guessed correctly that they were trying to compare John Kerry, the guy next to me goes, "Oh, that's what his name was. I already forgot." It's so sad, poor guy loses and he's forgotten. Just like Al Gore. And don't get me wrong, I feel for them. It's sad that the loser of the presidential race has to be left in the rain.

Final note, that's French words down there and you probably don't know what they mean. So I win. 'Cause I like French... and the lyrics are from a DDR song. So there!

"Tout m'entraîne, irrésistiblement vers toi, à chaque instant.
Tout m'enchaîne, irrésistiblement à toi, je le sens.

Comme la mer qui frappé le rocher
obstinément sans jamais désarmer.
Par le malheur on est souvent frappé,
mais l'amour seul peut nous sauver"

Red Vs. Blue Update

Mood - scared

At the risk of being late to work (which is imminent pretty much), I updated my Red vs. Blue page at my CSC080 homepage. Check it out! Or if you're lazy:

A.I.

Mood - intrigued
Today's Song - Nine Days - Sometimes

Peter showed me this Alice thing:
http://alice.pandorabots.com/

And here's something interesting that came up:

ALICE: Would you like to know more about it?
Human: Sure.
ALICE: OK let's do it. What would you like to know?
Human: Why you are not able to understand me at times.
ALICE: Dr. Richard S. Wallace programmed me for it.
Human: That was obvious.
ALICE: I thought it was too.
Human: Smart ass.
ALICE: Thanks I think you are very intelligent too, Josh.

Classic. Other than the fact that it doesn't understand all of the human language and it's differentiations, this thing is pretty freakin' cool. I was amazed at how deep the programming is; it's simply stunning. I'm going to be posting a note to my forums at Red vs. Blue and see what they think.

"Shadows they fall on the stage of your own life, trailing behind footsteps.
There's comfort in ghosts who are no longer with you, hiding behind your death.
I let you down you've lost your taste.
I'm losing ground. I fall from grace.

Well just listen! Sometimes...

You gotta set free what you love just to bring it back.
Oh, would you ever lose me? Would you ever let go for that?
And if the love is real you gotta let yourself go, just to bring it back.
Sometimes, just to bring it back."

TROGDOR!!!

Mood - happy
Today's Song - ???

Can't really think of a song for the moment since I really haven't listened to actual songs in the past 24 hours.

But I will say this, this is so completely awesome. I was wondering when it would happen.

Strindberg

Mood - sick
Today's Song - Incubus - Drive

Man, I hate having a stuffy nose. Because it's all mucusy and inflamed and... oh wait, that's kind of disgusting isn't it? Umm, oops?

Anywho, I had a great weekend. It really started last Thursday when I went over to Andrew Hurst's house. I grabbed a shit load of stuff from my Animal Crossing dude in Andrew's town, meaning I can be erased over there. Also, we checked out all the multiplayer maps together from Halo 2. Complete happiness. Next, Glen, my cousin Nathan, and I headed over to Sac State to go see a free movie playing there at 7:30 (ha!). It was called Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and it was pretty good; I give it an 8 out of 10. Afterwards, we went back to Glen's for a huge night. And I'm dead serious, we did hecka stuff. First off, Glen and I killed off some co - op on Halo 2. Also, Nathan and I killed off some multiplayer rounds the next day. So I got my dose of Halo 2 and want more but can't. Urgies!

Then yesterday, I went over to Peter's house for some Freelancer. And man, it's been a while since I had played so it took me a bit to get back into the swing of things. But I did fine, I just hated how much fesking fighting we had to do. It was like Outcast city or something (Outcasts are an enemy in the game) and I was getting tired of it. Peter and I were watching hella funny stuff off of Comedy Central and Cartoon Network yesterday as well.

But here I am now all sick - like and waiting for something interesting to happen. Because in all seriousness, nothing seems to be going on. It's all weird like. But maybe I should just ignore that and go on with my life. Did you enjoy that pointless blurb as much as I did? Good!

Well, as a goodbye, pray for my fantasy football team (I know, I haven't talked about it as much as I have in the past, especially last year). They've actually got a chance to win!

"So if I decide to waiver my chance to be one of the hive,
will I choose water over wine and hold my own and drive?

It's driven me before and it seems to be the way
that everyone else gets around.
But lately I'm beginning to find that
when I drive myself my light is found.

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
with open arms and open eyes, yeah.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there,
I'll be there."

Halo 2 vs Red Vs Blue

Mood - happy and not happy
Today's Song - Sonic 2 Boss Music

Ummm, my title went to shit when I realized the word versus would be used twice. Oops.

Well, first off it sucks to be me because even though I have the game, Halo 2 cannot be played because of my parents being so damned protective. Evilness.

Secondly, I recently became a sponsor on the Red vs. Blue site and didn't remember 'til now that this allows me to get the hi - res videos. So I went to go get them only I also found out that I have a bigger selection of videos to download from for other stuff. There are tons of videos that I haven't even seen and I'm so happy right now because of it. When I finally get my own computer, cha - ching!

Excerpt from Today's News Post on Red vs Blue

Mood - very, very happy
Today's Song - Halo Theme (not sure the name as of yet, help Glen?)

Here we go.
To celebrate the launch of everyone's most anticipated game, we are going to be releasing three full episodes of Red vs Blue in the next 48 hours. In the video section, you will see that gfunk has already posted Episode 41. Episode 42 should be up sometime tomorrow night and Episode 43 the following day. Three releases in two days sounded like a great idea when we thought of it, but it ended being a real marathon.

Now, I know most of you will be extremely busy picking up and playing Halo 2 -- this will hopefully help saturate your Halo week.

If you bought the collector's edition of Halo 2, check out our segment on the Bonus DVD. You will now have videographic confirmation of our nerdiness. Also, G4 is running RvB promos right now as part of their Halo 2 day hype. Check it out if you get a chance.

And then I go grab my copy of Halo 2 after school today. Today is panning out to be a very good day despite the events that transpired last night. Let's just say that I no longer wish to see my family for a LONG, LOOOOOONNNGGG time.

Blarg the Blog

Mood - pizza
Today's Song - DC Talk - Supernatural

I don't know, I just don't know anymore. So many things to think about and not enough time to do it all. The JPG comic crew needs to get together, I need a better job and car insurance, I want to finish paying off my debt in Animal Crossing... seems to me like life is doing weird things to me.

Speaking of Animal Crossing, I played the hell out of that game this entire weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, almost all day I was on killing to the debt that's hanging over my head for expanding my house. Nook's a bastard that way but then again, yesterday it was raining so I was able to catch a hell of a lot of the most expensive fish in the game (it goes for 15,000 bells). As you can tell, I'm obsessed but I don't care; it's a fun game.

Yesterday, I got a call from Electronics Boutique saying that I can pick up my copy of Halo 2 that I pre - ordered over the summer at 12AM or the next day. Unfortunately, I can't be at Downtown Plaza that early (or late, depending on how you look at it). So after school tomorrow, I'll be making the trip over to the store. Apparently, the special edition will be out at the same time.  o_O

Thursday, I'll be hanging with some friends again (once again, counter productive to my future but oh well). I have to contact one of them to see if my wanted plans will work out but hopefully, they will. And sorry Peter that you can't come see the movie on Thursday. But think of it this way, while Glen and I are watching a movie, you'll be taking one step closer to your career. Good?

Well, I oughta go call that friend before I go to class at 6 tonight (current time being like 5:30 as I write this. Later!

PS - I decided that Monday will be a good time to update my quote of the week as it's a day I have computer access for a good chunk of the day and people are getting back to checking things after a lazy weekend. Or atleast I find my weekends to be lazy like. Green peaness.

"Beyond this physical terrain there's an invisible domain
where angels battle over souls in vast array.
But down on earth is where I am; no wings to fly, no place to stand!
Here on my knees I am a stranger in this land!

I need an intervention, a touch of providence
It goes beyond religion to my very circumstance!

God is there and he is watching.
He tells me all is well. (It's supernatural!)
God is there, there's no denying.
He's supernatural! (It's supernatural!)"

Why Do I Know That Name?

Mood - groggy
Today's Song - Audio Adrenaline - Beautiful

Yesterday was quite counterproductive towards my future. But I really felt it necessary to watch the speaches made by the candidates yesterday. And now I'm done talking about the election.

Anywho, while hanging with friends yesterday the name "Samurai Pizza Cats" came up. And I had a sudden wave of nostalgia rise up in me. But I was like, "Why the hell do I remember that?! That was like in a tiny corner of my brain just sitting and minding it's own business." Well I looked it up today and it's slowly coming back to me. It was apparently like a really old Japanese kiddy anime cartoon that was supposed to be on the same lines as the TMNT. Now Peter, please don't start immediately hating it 'cause you think nothing can touch TMNT. Anyways, it was kind of an interesting cartoon to suddenly remember but whatever.

The other thing that came up was also quite interesting. We discovered that one of the guys doesn't like anime and his reasons for hating it were absolutely horrendous. Atleast Peter has a legitimate reason that he doesn't really enjoy the serious storylines and doesn't find the humorous ones humorous. This guy, however, was like, "I don't like the drawing style." WTF?! Man, that's like saying you don't like DDR 'cause it's always a dancing game. So he's describing this one anime where this guy was apparently using an umbrella as a weapon and he was confused as to what kind of weapon that was. I was like, "You can use pretty much anything as a weapon in anime." And then someone else went, "Yeah, I could use this fork." And it just had to happen so I said, "My friend can kill you 402 ways with a spoon." Sorry if I got the number wrong Glen but that's besides the point at this moment. What is important is that I mentioned the way that involves neutering someone with a spoon. And I swear, this guy was pained so much he was grunting for like 2 minutes. It was freaking hilarious. He's just sitting there going, "URRRRRR!! URRRRRRR!!" So I thought I'd pass along to you Glen that your spoon is feared. And it's too big... yeah.

"Your name is, beautiful.
It drips off my lips like drops of gold.
It makes me want to dance.
It's my fortune, my deliverance.

When I lift you up they come running.
When I sing your song the world's turning to you.
Just the sound of your name is a beautiful thing
and I love You, I love You, I love You!"

Quote of the Week? Oops!

Mood - ok
Today's Song - Newsboys - Million Pieces (Kissin' Your Cares Goodbye)

I keep on forgetting to do that. Man I suck.

Well, today is election day and tomorrow I'll wake up to find the new president for the next four years. To be quite honest, I don't know who it will be. I've heard both sides fighting hard and slinging mud at the other candidate. It's hard to see a clear cut winner from this standpoint. But I know one thing, I have a possibility of an angry phone call tomorrow. And I do not look forward to it.

I also bought Animal Crossing yesterday 'cause I played it over the weekend and really wanted it for myself. So during my break I went to Downtown Plaza and got it. I would have also continued my Excel Saga manga collection but they didn't have the next issue I needed (number 6). Oh well. But I still get to make random dudes be psycho in my town! And strangely enough, my brother is actually going to be a nice character in the game. I think it's more fun to be a psycho or an asshole. It just makes it all the much better to hear a little kid voice repeating what letters I write in a message. [little kid voice]F... U... C... K... [end little kid voice] So funny!

"They all fall like a million raindrops.
Falling from a blue sky; kissing your cares goodbye.
They all fall like a million pieces.
A tickertape parade high and now you're free to fly."

Anchor Man

Mood - curious

I forgot to ask something in my last post. Hey Peter and Glen, are you interested in seeing a free movie next Thrusday night? Sac State has like a free movie night every Thursday every couple of weeks and they're finally playing something of interest, Anchor Man with Will Ferrell. I know I wanted to see it and I'll be taking yet another day off from work to see it. So yeah, you guys want to stop by Sac State next Thursday? Like I said, FREE MOVIE.

October/November

Mood - good and good
Today's Song - Linkin Park - Session

First I post too much lyrics, now I keep on posting songs with no lyrics. I can't seem to do anything in moderation.

Anywho, today's the first of November and it feels good. A new month, a new slate of possibilities. This weekend kicked major ass as I got to hang out with hecka people. Friday to Saturday I was at Andrew Hurst's playing stuff like Junta (a governmental type boardgame only with more backstabbing action) and Super Smash Bros. Melee (I hadn't played in a while and yet I beat everyone with Yoshi, ???). Also, I got some picture of us all (except Peter 'cause he had left before hand plus he didn't have a costume, which isn't a bad thing) in our costumes). After Glen had left ('cause he had a test today he needed to study on Saturday for), Andrew and I posed for some more pictures of Ranma vs. Black Mage (Or Blackmage? I don't know.). Once I get the photos edited, I'll post them up here.

Yesterday was pretty good too; after church, I went over to Glen's and hung there for awhile (made myself in the Sims 2 which was pretty scary). Then we went over to Peter's brother's house and helped set up the last of his brother's Halloween decorations for greeting trick - or - treaters. Of course, stupid people just went straight in and straigh out; they didn't even care about the cool stuff on the side. BUT! But, there was one group of kids who did notice the skull I was using to project my voice (ask me later if your confused). They were really intrigued to see this skull just sitting there talking to them. By the time they were leaving, I was laughing so much that I couldn't respond anymore; it was just TOO good to hold it in much longer.

Tomorrow's the election and it seems to me it came a little too sudden. But whatever, I need to read up on the rest of the Propositions and candidates so I can finalize my choices. This will be my very first Presidential election so that's kind of cool. And because I'd rather not make my Blog a political platform for my opinion (except for that one post which was October 10th last year), I'd rather not discuss my opinions about the presidential candidates here. Talk to me later if your really itching to talk to me about it.
