"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America’s Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn’t want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named ‘Bush’, ‘Dick’, and ‘Colon’."

Happy Birthday To Blogger!
I'm actually quite surprised how fast it went. It doesn't seem like it's been a year but it has. I remember how long it took me to get around to starting it. I had wanted to make a blog for awhile after seeing Peter Ruibal's blog. But I never got around to it because it required that I look at the code and change colors and sizes in the XHTML styles (which I knew nothing of back then). But once I got to it, I had a full on something to do! And then when my computer went down in January, I had to use this as my main way to talk to people online about what was going on in my life. Later!
NBC Pulls Some Fast Ones
Ok, it's nothing bad but last night I did hear two of the biggest pieces of news in the entertainment industry that I've heard in quite some time. First off, Jay Leno (host of the Tonight show) announced that he will be retiring his hosting of the Tonight show in the year 2009 (which is still a good five years of him). But being that last night was the 50th anniversary of the show and that he announced that Conan O' Brien will be taking over after he's done was huge news. Apparently NBC doesn't want to lose Conan and Jay gave congradulations and passed the job on to him gracefully. Wow, one of the funniest men on television hosting the Tonight show is awesome. But it's kind of weird to think that Jay Leno won't be doing it after 2009. This must be what it felt like for those who grew up with Johnny Carson. He's always been in the job as we grew up (whether Leno or Carson) and now a new person will be taking over. My kids will grow up with Conan; wait a minute, is that a good idea? Just kidding, it'll me good stuff.
The second thing announced last night was actually on the Conan O' Brien show. He didn't say anything about the news that he'll be hosting the Tonight show in 2009 (I'm guessing he didn't hear until after last night's show was filmed). But he did talk about the apparent merger that'll be taking place of NBC and Universal Pictures, which would become NBC Universal. That's a huge merging of entertainment; between the both of the companies mentioned you have a bold chunk of the shows and movies you watch. Man, change is in the wind. And it ain't just the weather!

Josh Is Happy
...because people say this:
Episode 39 (the first episode of Season 3) should be done available for download by the end of this month.
People at redvsblue.com say that. Josh is happy man. Josh has been thinking about it for long time, was anxious for January to roll around, very surprised, very happy.
I've probably creeped you out enough with my weird talk and 3rd person references to myself. Let's just once and for all say that I'm very excited and pleased to see Season 3 already coming our way. I've got to go see season 2 again! :P

Girls & Boys
First off, I was reading a photoshop forum on Fark.com (man, it's been a long time since I've done that) and found this picture under the theme "The traditional 'Miss America screaming' photoshop."
Man, that's great!
Also, I went through my archives to try and fint out how I posted last time I was talking about pictures from Fark and I found this entry:
Idiot Am I
I just happened to read Peter's blog before posting here. Yeah, that's what happens when you don't think, you right incorrect dates and misspell things. Yeah. I may have even misspelled the word misspell. But who cares right now? I changed the date and that's it.
Notice that I used the wrong word in there somewhere. I'm keeping it up there for posterity... and 'cause it's funny.

Excerpt from today's Bob & George
Okay, so there I was, all ready to make some killer comics when, out of the blue, zombies burst into my room and started attacking! Luckily, I just happen to keep a couple of uzis next to the monitor, so I whipped 'em out and started blasting. But they just kept coming and I started to run out of ammo. Just then, Milla Jovovich drove a motorcycle through my window and blew them all to little zombie chunks. Then we picked up a couple of recently unbanned semi-automatic weapons and headed out into the town to destroy the undead, rescue the princess, and restore peace to the land of Middle-Earth. And that's why I didn't have time to make good comics for today.
Ok, so maybe the comics don't make me laugh much anymore. But atleast Dave still does!

100 Percent
This just cracks me up. It's a screenshot of when I was posting the previous post:

CSC080 & Pants
First off, let me explain what CSC080 is. It's the name of my HTML class and CSC stands for computer science. But maybe you knew that. Oh well. Anywho, there's a new link on the sidebar now that goes to my homepage for that class. I'll have all my assignments linked to from the homepage so you can check it all out. The index is very plain so don't worry about that. Also, don't worry about the content on the index page either because it was just for an assignment to introduce myself to the other class members and the teacher. I just finished my first "real" assignment today. I call it that because the first two were something for a different part of the class and the index page you see there. Yeah, boring index. Anywho, go check out assignment 2.
And about the pants... I said that because I was going through my archives the other day and read an entry I made last year during October where I commented on the fact that I was wearing pants earlier in the season than usual. I just beat my record; I sit here in front of the computer wearing pants. And for good reasons, today's weather was crazy. Hail, lightning, thunder, rain, the whole nine yards. I thought to myself, "Glen may not be able to do his dance on the first rain of the season." Well, I'll talk to y'all later. May the rain not destroy any cars... or your person.

Street Smarts
Well, there was something I saw on TV the other night I wanted to share. I was watching this game show called "Street Smarts." In this game, two contestants try to guess the answers people off the street give for pretty easy questions (almost like Jaywalking but without the payoff $$$). Anywho, the question was, "How do you spell the word 'scissors' as in, 'My mom told me to not run in the house with scissors.' " And the guys goes, "S - W - E - R..." then the host stops him because that's wrong. The guy says damn it and then the host for fun says, "Spell damn it." And the guy goes, "D - A - W - M..." and the host stops him again because it's enough for the clip. I swear, I couldn't stop laughing for a minute or two because of that. I haven't laughed like that since MST3K: The Movie.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...
EDIT (4:52AM Saturday morning) - Well, don't worry too much about me posting through this cool phone thingy all the time. I won't do it as much as I have the past two days. I just really felt like sharing the thing about the weather while I was at work, so I did... the only way I could from no computer.

Slightly Happier
Well, I finally figured out how to kill the description up there from disappearing everytime. And now I got a nifty new use for the description, a quote of the week!
However, it's still adding too much thickness to the sidebar there but that's gonna have to be dealt with. Nothing I do seems to help that.
Well, I guess I shall leave you with my quote at the top there. Later!

Damned Blogger
I swear, this thing gives me problems like no one's business. First off, it f - ed up with my sidebar so I had to give up on my desired blog look and stuck it on the right side within the main column where all my posts go so that it would work again. But now, it's giving me hell with the blog description that usually appears to the right of the little animation. And even though I got rid of the main column's border, the border still shows up on the right side. URRRRGHH!!!
Anywho, like I said, the sidebar is working again. Which means live comments are working again. I had to give up on what I wanted the page to look like in order to gain the use of the sidebar again. The only reason I made that thing was so that I could get to most of the online stuff I like to check out when I'm away from home and away from my favorites.

Stuff
That's a really boring title, I know. But it's all I've got. Seriously, I can't think of anything else right now. Beefstew. Anywho...
While walking through Sac State today, I saw a group of people with art boards and I thought to myself, "I wonder if that's the same class that I took my first semester here at Sac State?" Sure enough, as I passed by the people I saw the same teacher I had for Art 21A or something like that (can't remember what, don't care no more). And you know how you have a nick - name for the teachers you have that you either didn't like, didn't enjoy, or the ones who just plain weird? Well suddenly as I passed by I said to myself, "Yep, there's psycho." Guess I got one for her and I'm keeping it. 'Cause quite frankly, anyone who enjoys a movie where the main subject is an artist that takes wool and stretches it out across a field is a nutcase, a fruitcake, a 51 - 50, etc., etc., etc.
Geez, I remember watching that movie with Glen. We couldn't stop laughing when the artist guy goes, "I have to work with the sheep." WHAT?! Crrrrraaazy!!!

BTW...
I don't have a clue as to why my sidebar no longer works. I've sent an e - mail to the BLOGGER administrators about it so I'll let you guys know ASAP.
School In General
Well, I wanted to post this on Monday but I couldn't due to time constraints. So here's a whole bunch of stuff that has happened since school started for me.
First off, I updated a lot of the pictures from the last couple of posts. This also includes the pictures of Shmitty. So go check those out.
Alright, when I went into the game room at Sac State on last Monday I found new games had been put into the room. And instead of trying to tell you how happy I was to see these, I'll let the pictures I took tell the story for you.
Not extremely great, but it was still new there. Yea.
Two really great old - school fighting arcade games. Unfortuantely, last time I checked the X - Men game was out of order. I have, however, played the Soul Calibur game and man, good times.
The game I know two specific people are going to suddenly want to come to Sac State at an extreme rate. Well, all I can say is, we'll have to plan a Friday sometime, ;P.
On to actual classes; first off, in my French class there are two girls from Japan studying abroad. Peter, I suddenly feel like you. Akiko and Hikari are their names (I made note of that during role call). Maybe I'll start obsessing? Nah, I don't have the ability to take them anywhere like Peter did with Mami.
Well, that's all for now. Later!
